What is FFTT?

Forest for the Trees is an annual print literary journal that features writing by today’s teens. We accept submissions in poetry, fiction,  creative nonfiction, and art* for inclusion in the journal.

If you are between the ages of 13 and 19, you may submit any writing you have produced since you turned 13 – but we encourage you to submit only the best work you believe you are capable of writing.

If you are over 19 years old, you may submit any writing that falls into the young adult genre – we encourage fiction submissions, but might make an exception for excellent CNF or poetry. These submissions will be considered for a place in the Branches section of each issue.

We aim to publish our inaugural issue in Spring of 2016. It will be a lovely square book featuring art and writing chosen from your submissions! Please do not wait to send your submission to us – when this issue is filled remaining entries will be considered for the next issue.

Contributors receive the chance to purchase heavily discounted copies of the print edition in which their work appears.

We look forward to reading your submissions!

*Only one piece of art can be accepted for each issue – but the chosen piece will be featured prominently on the front cover!
